Sharm el Sheikh (Egypt), 13 October. (LaPresse) – Expectations are growing at the Sharm el-Sheikh Congress Centre, where preparations are underway for the arrival of over twenty heads of state and government to celebrate the signing of the ceasefire agreements in Gaza. This will be followed by the “Summit for Peace”, chaired by Egypt's Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and US President Donald Trump. The US president is expected to arrive at 2 p.m. At the end of the celebrations, the plenary meeting with global and European leaders will begin. Meanwhile, journalists from all over the world are beginning to fill the press centre at the congress centre. Staff are preparing the flags for the ceremony, and an electrical short circuit caused a minor incident, which was quickly resolved by security. Diaa Rashwan, president of the Egyptian State Information Service, said in a statement to local media that 232 journalists and foreign media correspondents have been accredited.
