Milan, Oct. 23 (LaPresse) – “I express great satisfaction for the mandate to the rapporteur voted this morning in the Senate Constitutional Affairs Committee on the constitutional bill concerning the separation of careers. This long-awaited reform, which will reach the Senate floor on October 28 for the final vote, restores authority to the judiciary, which for too long has been trapped in the game of factions. It thus affirms the impartiality of the judge, the culmination of a process that began back in 1988 with the new Code of Criminal Procedure and continued in 1999 with the reform of Article 111 of the Constitution on due process.” So said Alberto Balboni, senator of Fratelli d’Italia, president of the Constitutional Affairs Committee and rapporteur of the reform on the separation of careers.
