The threats do not change our commitment to fighting the mafia, upholding the law and restoring spaces currently controlled by criminals to the citizens. Together with the Prefecture, the Police Headquarters and the law enforcement agencies, we will continue to work with determination to make Rome a safer and fairer city." This was stated in a note by the Mayor of Rome, Roberto Gualtieri, who was the recipient of an intimidating message posted on social media following the recent demolition of two illegal villas in the Torri district.
