Rome, 2 Nov. (LaPresse) – ‘There is money from INAIL (the Italian National Institute for Insurance against Accidents at Work) to reward virtuous companies but also to extend insurance coverage to students, and in addition there are resources from the Ministry and from INL (the Italian National Labour Inspectorate),’ says Labour Minister Marina Calderone, confirming in an interview with La Stampa that, once fully operational, the funds committed thanks to the new security decree will reach €900 million. ‘Ours,’ she adds, ‘is an investment in the future of work.’ ‘The resources are there, they are written in black and white, of course,’ she explains. "The Prime Minister announced extraordinary resources on 1 May, and they are in Article 1, precisely to highlight the government's focus on workplace safety. Obviously, this cannot be resolved with additional resources alone, but requires a cultural shift that affects everyone, businesses, workers and institutions. In particular, young people, for whom there are many measures in place. This is unprecedented: we wanted to secure the future of work. Once fully operational, there will be €900 million per year, I can confirm."
