Rome, Nov. 13 (LaPresse) – Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni welcomed Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama to Villa Doria Pamphilj. Rama arrived in Rome for the first Italy-Albania intergovernmental summit, which aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The day's agenda includes a bilateral meeting between the two leaders, during which they will also discuss the priorities at the top of the European and international agenda, starting with the war in Ukraine. Particular attention will also be paid to Italian support for Albania's path to EU accession. The bilateral meeting will be followed by the signing ceremony for the intergovernmental agreement, followed by a plenary working session with the respective government delegations. The Italian delegation will be composed of Ministers Antonio Tajani (Foreign Affairs), Matteo Piantedosi (Interior), Carlo Nordio (Justice), Guido Crosetto (Defense), Gilberto Pichetto Fratin (Mase), Alessandro Giuli (Culture), Orazio Schillaci (Health), Nello Musumeci (Civil Protection), and undersecretaries Federico Freni and Tullio Ferrante (Mef and Mit). At the end of the working lunch, there will be a ceremony to exchange 15 other agreements, including government agreements and technical agreements (in addition to the ministers, the heads of the companies concerned (Cdp, Simest, Sace, Leonardo, and Civil Protection) will be present). To conclude, after 2 p.m., there will be joint statements to the press by Meloni and Rama.
