Milan, 14 November (LaPresse) – "We cannot fail to send our regards to a friend of workers who has Friday as his day of reference. You're not thinking of that professional striker called Maurizio Landini, are you? It's a coincidence that strikes always take place on Mondays or Fridays, never on Wednesdays. I thank those trade unions that prod and criticise the government, but do not hold workers hostage. The CGIL is holding millions of Italian workers hostage." These were the words of Deputy Prime Minister and Lega Secretary Matteo Salvini, speaking at an event organised in support of Edmondo Cirielli at the Palapartenope in Naples, where boos were directed at the CGIL leader.
