Milan, 1 December (LaPresse) – ‘We support NATO, we want to defend peace, and peace is defended through a balance of forces. We will honour our commitments to NATO and move forward. I will be in Brussels the day after tomorrow for a meeting of NATO foreign ministers, where we will assess the situation and decide on the next steps.’ So said Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on the sidelines of the Transatlantic Award Gala Dinner organised in Milan by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy. When asked if he agreed with ‘pre-emptive strikes’ against Russia, Tajani explained: ‘We need to talk about it; it's difficult to comment on a statement to a newspaper.’
