Rome, 21 December (LaPresse) – ‘We are working to clear out social centres not only in Turin, Milan, Rome and Livorno, but also in the north and south, because they are illegal gathering places for criminals, even if some people say they promote culture.’ This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Matteo Salvini, during an appearance on Zona Bianca on Retequattro. ‘Keep in mind that 18 people from this social centre are the ones causing trouble over the Tav, and last March they were convicted in the first instance for private violence, extortion, robbery, kidnapping, resisting a public official and arson,’ he added. ‘I wonder what else a judge in Turin needs to put these criminals in jail? It is not possible that they will spend Christmas at home, while the three children of the family in the woods will spend it far from home. This is not a normal country,’ he concluded.
