Rome, 15 January (LaPresse) – ‘Italy intends to ask the European Commission to join the proceedings in Switzerland as a civil party’. This was stated by the Undersecretary to the Prime Minister, Alfredo Mantovano, after meeting with the families of the Crans-Montana victims at Palazzo Chigi. ‘We intend to propose to the European nations that have had victims a sort of coordination in compliance with Swiss law but consistent with the needs and rights of the injured parties. We will use Eurojust,’ he added.
