Rome, Jan. 22 (LaPresse) – Coinciding with the entry into force of Law No. 1 of January 7, 2026, containing amendments regarding the functions of the Court of Auditors and administrative liability and damage to the state budget, a meeting was held this morning at Palazzo Chigi between an institutional delegation of the Court of Auditors, led by President Guido Carlino, and the Undersecretary to the Prime Minister Alfredo Mantovano, accompanied by the administrative leadership of the Prime Minister’s Office. This is stated in a note from Palazzo Chigi. During the meeting, “held in a climate of full cooperation,” it was agreed to establish an informal, joint working group, which will be tasked with drafting the legislative decrees implementing the delegation provided for in Article 3 of the law, to be subsequently submitted for approval by the Council of Ministers and reviewed by the parliamentary commissions and the regions.
