Rome, Jan. 27 (LaPresse) – Opposition parties are asking the Senate for the government to report on the ICE matter. “Italy is not intimidated by force; it recognizes itself in law, freedom and the courage to remain itself. We ask that the government come to the chamber as soon as possible and inform the entire Parliament,” stressed PD floor leader Francesco Boccia, according to whom “the news of the possible presence of ICE agents at the Milan-Cortina Olympics is not only disturbing, it is a slap in the face to our Constitution. And it is an alarm bell that should make anyone among us who cares about the rule of law tremble.” “What has the government done?” Boccia added, whose request is joined by AVS, Azione, IV and M5S. “First there was silence, then instead of strongly criticizing the activities of the United States and saying ‘never,’ it stammered.”
