Rome, 2 April (LaPresse) – “I wish to express my full solidarity with the entire democratic community of Bologna and with Mayor Matteo Lepore following the serious acts of vandalism against the PD headquarters and the death threats directed at the mayor: these are extremely serious and unacceptable acts, which I firmly condemn on behalf of the entire democratic community. I would also like to reiterate my support and esteem for Matteo Lepore and assure him that he will always have our backing in the extraordinary work he carries out every day for the city. We hope that those responsible for these acts will be identified soon, but at the same time I would also like to make it clear that no intimidation will ever succeed in stopping our commitment.” So said PD Secretary Elly Schlein.
