Rome, Jan. 16 (LaPresse) – The world of cinema mourns the loss of David Lynch, who has died at the age of 78. Lynch was the director of works such as Blue Velvet and Twin Peaks. The announcement of his passing was made by his family in a post published on Lynch’s own Facebook profile: "It is with profound sadness that we, his family, announce the passing of the man and artist, David Lynch. We would appreciate some privacy at this time. There is a great void in the world now that he is no longer with us. But, as he would say, 'Keep your eye on the donut, not on the hole.'"
