Rome, Jan. 4 (LaPresse) – "He is conscious, just extremely tired, and fully aware of what happened to him," said Stéphane Bulle, the doctor for the French alpine skiing team, during a press conference in Lyon providing an update on the condition of Cyprien Sarrazin.

The French downhill skier underwent surgery a week ago to decompress an intracranial hematoma sustained during a fall on the Stelvio slope in Bormio during the World Cup downhill race. Sarrazin remains hospitalized in a neurosurgery ward at a clinic specializing in intracranial procedures and is now preparing for "a recovery period" and rehabilitation.
