Milan, Jan. 7 (LaPresse) – Luca Banchi is the new coach of Anadolu Efes Istanbul, a big name in the Turkish league and Euroleague basketball. Having resigned a month ago from leading Virtus Bologna, Banchi has signed a one-year contract with Efes with an option for another season. It was Efes itself that announced it. ‘We have signed a 1+1 season contract with Luca Banchi, who has achieved so much success throughout his career and is also the coach of the Latvian national team,’ it reads.
