These were the words of Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna during a press conference at the end of the transfer window regarding Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s transfer to PSG.
"I've read that it was done to fix the summer market or balance the budget, but that's not true. We were negotiating an important renewal up until 20 days before, but market dynamics and the player's own will led us to take a different path.
We lost an important player, as you all say, as we all say—it's a fact.
