Milan, 20 Feb. (LaPresse) At 44 years old, Venus Williams will return to the Indian Wells courts in March. The American tennis player, currently number 975 in the world rankings and who had not played since the Miami tournament last year, has in fact received a wild card from the organizers of the BNP Paribas Open (scheduled for 5 to 16 March). Czech Petra Kvitova, who returned to the circuit after the birth of her first child, also received a wild card. In the men's competition, the 'passes' are for the Brazilian Joao Fonseca, fresh winner of his first title in Argentina at the age of 18, and for the American Learner Tien.
