Milan, Feb. 25 (LaPresse) – Despite a match full of heart and spectacle, Flavio Cobolli's unhappy moment continues, as he dropped out in the first round at the ‘Abierto Mexicano Telcel’, ATP 500 with a prize money of $2,585,410 being played on the concrete in Acapulco, Mexico. The 22-year-old Roman, No. 39 ATP, succumbed 7-6(4), 7-6(4), after more than two hours of struggle, to the American left-hander Ben Shelton, No. 14 in the ranking and fifth favourite in the seedings. For Flavio, who failed to take advantage of two set-points in the 12th game of the second set (with the American serving), it was the fifth defeat in a row on his debut.
