Rome, 16 Mar (LaPresse) – Kimi Antonelli, Italian driver of the Mercedes, can smile: his team's appeal against the penalty that had taken him from fourth to fifth place in the Melbourne Grand Prix has been accepted. Antonelli, therefore, finishes fourth in his Formula 1 World Championship debut. The young driver had been penalised with five seconds for an unsafe release that had dropped him one position. But new images viewed after the race showed that Antonelli would not have cut Nico Hulkenberg off in the pit lane.
