Milan, 23 Mar (LaPresse) – A fantastic Mattia Furlani is the new indoor long jump World champion. At the World Championships in Nanjing, China, the young Italian jumper won the gold medal with a leap of 8.30 metres on his second attempt. Silver medal for Jamaican Wayne Pinnock with 8.29 m, just one centimetre behind the Italian. Bronze for Australian Liam Adcock with 8.28 m. Olympic champion Miltiadis Tentoglou of Greece came fifth with 8.14 m.
