Rome, 23rd March (LaPresse) – Germany and Italy drew 3-3 in the second leg of the Nations League quarter-finals and, thanks to the 2-1 win at San Siro, the Germans go through to the Final Four. At the Westfalenstadion, the Germans took the lead with Kimmich in the 30th minute, and Musiala doubled the lead in the 36th minute, taking advantage of a collective lack of attention from the Italian defence, who had their backs to the game, talking to the referee after a German shot was saved by Donnarumma. In the 44th minute, the Germans made it three with Kleindienst. In the second half, the Azzurri reacted with a brace from Kean in the 49th and 69th minutes. In the injury time, Raspadori scored a penalty after the Azzurri were denied a penalty in the 74th minute for Di Lorenzo's tackle in the box. The eliminated Azzurri are thus included in World Cup qualifying Group I together with Norway, Estonia, Moldova and Israel, while Germany ends up in Group A with Slovakia, Northern Ireland and Luxembourg.
