Florence, March 24 (LaPresse) – Inter coach Simone Inzaghi was voted by his colleagues as the best coach of last season, thus winning the Panchina d'Oro, an award now in its 33rd edition. Inzaghi totalled 26 votes. In second place was Gian Piero Gasperini and in third place Vincenzo Italiano. As usual, the ceremony took place at the Federal Technical Centre in Coverciano, Florence. For the B series, the Panchina d'Argento award went to Fabio Pecchia, who brought Parma back to the A series; in second place Polo Vanoli, who was in charge of Venezia; in third place Vincenzo Vivarini, who was in charge of Catanzaro For the Lega Pro series with 26 votes Guido Pagliuca won, who led Juve Stabia to promotion to the B series: in second place Davide Possanzini of Mantova and in third place Mimmo Toscano of Cesena. For women's football, the Panchina d'Oro award went to Alessandro Spugna, Roma coach, while for women's B the Panchina d'Argento award went to Gianluca Grassadonia, Lazio Women coach. The Mino Favini prize for the best youth sector manager was awarded to Francesco Palmieri of Sassuolo The Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti and Gian Piero Gasperini were presented with the special Panchina d'Oro.
