Michel Platini said this after being acquitted by the Swiss Federal Criminal Court of Appeal of the charges of fraud, forgery and embezzlement. ‘My honour has been restored,’ added the former Uefa president. ‘Nobody at home believed I was responsible for anything. I know the story from the beginning, I know it was a plot to prevent me from becoming Fifa president. I know that for my enemies time was important, they sidelined me for 10 years,' stressed Platini, who has now admitted that he is “too old” to think about a new role in football.
