Milan, 3 Apr. (LaPresse) – Argentina remains at the top of the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola men's world ranking, although there are also changes in the top ten. Argentina are still number one thanks to impressive away victories against Uruguay (1-0) and at home against Brazil (4-1), but the Albiceleste have a new threat, as Spain (no.2) took full advantage of France's (no.3) slip-up against Croatia to secure second place. However, Les Bleus remain on the podium, with England (no. 4) watching and Brazil (no. 5) completing the top 5. The Netherlands (no. 6) are chasing the leading group, having overtaken Portugal (no. 7). Belgium (no. 8) follows, while Italy (no. 9) and Germany (10) remain stable and have kept their places in the top 10. Croatia (no. 11, up 2 places) and Morocco (no. 12) are breathing down their necks. Mexico (no.17) strengthened its position by winning the Concacaf Nations League title, while second-placed Panama (no.33) was rewarded for its excellent performance. Also worth mentioning is the five-position gain by Norway, Italy's next opponent in World Cup qualifying, which rose to no.38 in the ranking.
