Milan, 3 Apr. (LaPresse) – Fear for Federica Brignone at the Skiing World Championships in Val di Fassa. The recent winner of the overall World Cup and the speciality World Cup fell in the second run of the giant slalom after being in the lead halfway through the race. The athlete from the Aosta Valley, who is a member of the Carabinieri Sports Centre, was airlifted to the hospital in Trento. Investigations are underway to determine her condition; Brignone is suspected of having twisted her knee and suffered significant trauma to her tibia.
