Turin, 8 Apr (LaPresse) – Kylian Mbappé's lawyers will hold a press conference in Paris on Thursday to discuss the financial dispute between PSG and the player. It is learnt from the French press. For several months, the striker has been demanding the payment of the last three months of his contract, as well as unpaid bonuses. ‘The third third of the signing bonus, which corresponds to 36.66 million euros gross, is missing. Then the salaries and bonuses for April, May, and June. So 18.75 million euros of salary is missing, the accounts lead to the famous 55 million,' the player's lawyer, Delphine Verheyden, explained to AFP.The court has set an orientation hearing for 26 May to examine the case. According to the club, these salaries and bonuses would not be due to the player under a verbal agreement reached in mid-August 2023 between the parties. Mbappé was put out of the team at that time for refusing to extend his contract with PSG for another season. This extension, if signed, would have guaranteed the club transfer money if he had left on 30 June 2024. The 26-year-old striker eventually signed a free transfer with Real Madrid.Lawyer Verheyden, who denied the possibility of an amicable settlement, had already stated in February that there had been ‘no agreement’ between the capital club and his client. ‘In labour law, the law requires that in order to change the salary or the duration of a contract, an amendment must be signed,’ he explained to the press. ‘Football regulations also require that this amendment be approved within 15 days after it has been signed,’ he explained. So there was no agreement,' he added.
