Rome, April 9 (LaPresse) – "Together with Sport and Health, we have finished setting up the site, which will make this event a success. How great it will be depends on the sports results, but the conditions are good, and on the weather, which is beyond our control. We are already thinking about the days after, because that’s when the real fun begins." This is what the president of FITP, Angelo Binaghi, said during the presentation of the 82nd edition of the Internazionali d'Italia, at the ‘Eugenio Montale’ high school in Rome, one of the schools involved in the ‘Racchette in classe’ project by FITP.

"There are two ways to approach these events. Some presidents love visibility and think these events are the ultimate goal, considering everything is done after the final, even if they leave a hole in the budget. And then there are those like us, who, on the contrary, struggle with all this visibility and believe that these events are the starting point, the tool to be the best we can in what is the mission of sports managers, that is, the promotion of sports. I think it's important to explain that this is not the only major sporting event in Italy that does not use any public funds, and everything that remains in FITP’s coffers is spent on promotion to ensure that participants keep increasing," he added.

"The actions we will focus on are three: knowledge, learning, and practice."
