Turin, April 14 (LaPresse) – The final day of the 2024-25 NBA regular season has concluded. In the game between the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Clippers, a direct clash to secure a spot in the Playoffs, the Clippers won 124-119 after overtime and secured the fifth position. They will face the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the Playoffs, as the Nuggets easily overcame the Houston Rockets.
Golden State finished in seventh place and will have to go through the Play-In against Memphis. The Minnesota Timberwolves also secured their place in the Playoffs, defeating the Utah Jazz, and will face the Los Angeles Lakers after their loss to Portland.
The Oklahoma City Thunder finished first, with the best record in the league: a 68th victory with a 115-100 win over New Orleans. In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers had already secured first place weeks ago and ended their season with an overtime loss to the Indiana Pacers. The Boston Celtics secured second place, defeating the Charlotte Hornets 93-86 with 34 points from Payton Pritchard. The New York Knicks finished third after a 113-105 win in the derby against the Brooklyn Nets, with 29 points off the bench from Landry Shamet. The Milwaukee Bucks won 140-133 after overtime against the Detroit Pistons, thanks to a double-double from Pat Connaughton.
