Rome, 30 April (LaPresse) – Carlo Ancelotti is backing down, saying no to the Brazil bench and is considering a multi-million dollar offer from Saudi Arabia. According to the Spanish newspaper ‘Marca’, the Real Madrid coach, who was in London yesterday, has renounced the offer from the Cbf, the Brazilian football federation, to coach the Selecao. Ancelotti personally contacted the president of the Cbf, Ednaldo Rodrigues, to express his gratitude for the interest shown. All that was missing was the signature, as ‘Marca’ reported, but this, barring a resounding surprise, will not happen. Sources close to the negotiations believe that Ancelotti has made this very clear. The coach first informed the Cbf agents that he would not be able to leave in June and that he could arrive in August, much to the surprise of the Brazilian federation's top brass, since everything had been agreed beforehand. In Brazil, in fact, it was thought that the coach had already received Real Madrid's approval to leave in June. Now, it is not excluded that the Madrid coach could lead the team in the Club World Cup. Behind all this manoeuvring, according to ‘Marca’, there also seems to be a multi-million dollar offer from Saudi Arabia. There is talk of around 50 million net per season, a figure that seems irresistible.
