Miami (Florida, USA), May 2 (LaPresse) – The Miami Grand Prix, scheduled for this weekend, will remain on the Formula 1 calendar until at least 2041. F1 has announced the ten-year extension of its contract with the U.S. race, which was added to the calendar in 2022. "From our perspective, this renewal allows us to affirm that this event is here to stay for the long term," said Tom Garfinkel, managing partner of the Miami Grand Prix. "Securing a ten-year extension with Formula 1 until 2041 is an incredible milestone for all of us at South Florida Motorsports, and a true testament to the hard work of our team, the strength of our partnerships, the support of our community, and the growth of this sport in the United States." Currently, there are three events on the U.S. calendar: in addition to Miami, Formula 1 will also race in Las Vegas and Austin, Texas. "In just three years, the Miami Grand Prix has established itself as one of the most important and spectacular events on our calendar, an extraordinary example of quality and vision that fully represents the spirit and ambition of Formula 1 in the United States," said Formula 1 president Stefano Domenicali. "Extending this agreement until 2041 is a strategically significant milestone that strengthens our presence in America and deepens our ever-growing and passionate fan base more than ever before."
