Rome, May 10 (LaPresse) – The spokesperson for the Pakistani army says India launched missiles at three Pakistani air bases, but most of them were intercepted. Lieutenant General Ahmad Sharif stated that Pakistan's Air Force assets are safe. He made this announcement during his televised address, mentioning that some Indian missiles also struck India’s eastern Punjab. Sharif said the missiles launched by India targeted the Nur Khan air base in the garrison city of Rawalpindi, the Murid air base in Chakwal, and the Rafiqui air base in the Jhang district of the eastern Punjab province. Sharif added that some of the missiles fired by India also landed in Afghanistan, and Pakistan had evidence to prove it. Sharif further stated that "continuing its open aggression, India recently also launched air-to-ground missiles with its jets." According to Pakistan’s state television, Pakistan launched retaliatory strikes against India.
