Milan, 12 May (LaPresse) – Carlo Ancelotti is the new coach of Brazil. Before his departure from Real Madrid was announced, the Brazilian Football Confederation officially announced on social media that it had reached an agreement with the Italian coach, who will take charge of the Seleção from June. Ancelotti has signed a contract until the end of the 2026 World Cup and will make his debut in the next two qualifying matches against Ecuador and Paraguay next month. Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, said: ‘Bringing Carlo Ancelotti to Brazil is more than a strategic decision. It is a statement to the world of our determination to regain the top spot on the podium. He is the greatest coach in history and now leads the best national team on the planet. Together, we will write new glorious chapters for Brazilian football.’ As soon as the announcement was made, the Brazilian Football Confederation's website literally crashed.
