Milan, 17 May (LaPresse) – Crystal Palace has won the FA Cup, the oldest and most popular competition in English football, in a surprise victory. In the final at Wembley, Palace defeated Pep Guardiola's favourites Manchester City 1-0 after ten minutes of extra time. The decisive goal was scored by Eze in the 16th minute, assisted by Munoz. Manchester also missed a penalty in the first half with Marmoush in the 36th minute. This is Palace's first FA Cup victory in its history, in its second final after losing to Manchester United in a replay in 1990.
