Milan, 17 May (LaPresse) – Oscar Piastri in a McLaren will start from pole position in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix at Imola. With a time of 1'14‘670, the Australian finished just +0.034’ ahead of Dutchman Max Verstappen in a Red Bull and +0.137" ahead of Englishman George Russell in a Mercedes. Fourth place went to fellow Brit Lando Norris in a McLaren, +0.292 behind, while the evergreen Fernando Alonso in an Aston Martin finished an excellent fifth, +0.761 behind.
