Milan, 19 May. (LaPresse) – The 69th edition of the Ballon d'Or, the most prestigious individual award in football, will take place on Monday 22 September at the iconic Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. UEFA and Groupe Amaury, owner of France Football and L'Équipe, have been collaborating since last year to co-organise the famous event. The 2025 awards will include the Men's and Women's Ballon d'Or, the Men's and Women's Kopa Trophy (best young player), the Men's and Women's Yashin Trophy (best goalkeeper), the Men's and Women's Gerd Müller Trophy (club/national team top scorer), the Men's and Women's Johan Cruyff Trophy (best club/national team coach), the Men's and Women's Club of the Year, and the Sócrates Award, presented by L'Équipe and Peace and Sport, for solidarity actions or social causes carried out by a committed champion. The nominees will be announced in early August.
