Milan, May 20 (LaPresse) – The ever-resilient Sara Errani is through to the second round of Roland Garros qualifying. Fresh off her doubles victory at the Italian Open alongside Jasmine Paolini, the 38-year-old from Emilia, ranked No. 177 in singles and a 2012 finalist in Paris, pulled off an incredible comeback against Germany’s Jule Niemeier (No. 123), winning 0–6, 7–6 (4), 6–2.
Fellow Italian Nuria Brancaccio (No. 183) also advanced, defeating Dutch player Arianne Hartono (No. 188) 6–4, 6–3.
