Rome, May 25 (LaPresse) – World No.1 Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the second round at Roland Garros by defeating Russia’s Kamilla Rakhimova 6-1, 6-0 in just one hour. Also off to a strong start was world No.13 Elina Svitolina, who beat Turkey’s Sonmez 6-1, 6-1. Currently on court is Italian Lucrezia Stefanini (No.153), facing Switzerland’s Jil Teichmann (No.98).
