Turin, May 26 (LaPresse) – “Will I be ready for Milano Cortina? That’s a question no one can answer. I don’t have the answer, neither do the doctors or the physiotherapists. I’m working toward it—it would be a dream, and I will certainly try until the very end.”

These were the words of Italian skier Federica Brignone on the sidelines of the 20th edition of the Golf Cup, a charity tournament organized by the Vialli and Mauro Foundation at Royal Park I Roveri in Fiano Torinese.

“I’m working at J Medical and I’ll stay there until I’m fully healed and ready to train 100%, almost ready to ski again,” Brignone added. “The first step is learning to walk again because the injury was really serious and complex. It affected not only the bones but also ligaments, meniscus, and the joint capsule—so we’re navigating a bit blindly. We know what we’re doing, but we need to see how my body reacts.”

“As for my rehab, I’m doing well even if I miss the mountains and nature,” she concluded. “I like living in the city—everything is close—but right now I’m not walking much. I went home this weekend and I really miss the outdoors and fresh air.”
