Turin, May 29 (LaPresse) – Elisabetta Cocciaretto’s journey at Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam of 2025 (€56,352,000 in prize money), comes to an end in the second round on the Parisian clay. The 24-year-old from Fermo, ranked No. 89 in the WTA rankings, was eliminated after a promising first-round win against American lucky loser Townsend (WTA No. 104). She lost 6-1, 6-3 in one hour and 12 minutes to Russian Ekaterina Alexandrova, ranked No. 20 in both the WTA standings and tournament seeding.
