Munich, June 1 (LaPresse) – "At the European Championship, you have an entire country behind you, it’s different; when you represent a country, the tension is even higher. All finals are important, but if the Champions League is big, the European Championship won with the national team is even bigger." This is what Gigio Donnarumma said in an interview with Sky Sport, commenting on his Champions League victory with PSG and recalling Italy’s 2021 European Championship win. "Inside, there’s the whole tough season we had," he added. "We were almost out of the Champions League, then we managed to react, and from there our chase began. We are enjoying it fully because we had an extraordinary season. I know how much Italians care, how much grit they put in, but we really played well on the field, there was a lot of movement."
"Will I stay at PSG? I don’t know, we’ll see in the coming days," the Italian goalkeeper concluded. "Now I’m coming to the national team; we have two important matches for the World Cup, so we really need to stay focused."
