Milan, June 5 (LaPresse) – After a failed attempt to bring in Cesc Fabregas — whom Como has decided to hold onto — Inter already has a Plan B for its new coach. Simone Inzaghi’s potential successor could be Cristian Chivu. According to LaPresse, Parma has given the green light for the Romanian coach to negotiate with the Nerazzurri.
The former defender led the Parma side to safety this past season but had previously started his coaching career at Inter. After hanging up his boots in the 2013–2014 season, following seven years at Inter crowned with the 2010 Treble, Chivu made his debut on the bench in 2018 with the club’s youth teams. From 2021 to 2024, he coached Inter’s Primavera side, leading them to the 2022 championship title.
