Milan, 6 June (LaPresse) – Gennaro Gattuso is no longer the coach of Hajduk Split. The Croatian club announced that it has ‘reached an agreement for the mutual termination of the contract with Gennaro Gattuso, who will leave Poljud together with his assistants Luigi Ricci, Roberto Perrone, Bruno Dominici, Dino Tenderini and Marco Sangermani.’ Gattuso took charge of the first team on 12 June 2024 and led the team at the start of preparations for the new season. He made his debut on the Hajduk bench with a victory against HB Torshavn at Poljud and ended his tenure with a victory against Šibenik at Šubicevac in the last round of the league. Under his leadership, the Whites finished the season in third place in the Croatian SuperSport HNL league and reached the quarter-finals of the SuperSport Croatian Football Cup. In total, Gattuso led Hajduk in 43 official matches, recording 20 wins, 14 draws and 9 defeats.
