Turin, 9 June (LaPresse) – ‘I made a comment without mentioning any names. I simply said that when a project fails more than once, questions need to be asked and answers given. I added that if Lazio doesn't work, the fans take it out on the president, but the difference is that I put my money in and I'm the president who makes the decisions.’ This was stated by Lazio's number one Claudio Lotito on the sidelines of the presentation of the “Lazio Academy” project in Rieti. Lotito returned to talk about the national team's current situation, responding to the words of FIGC president Gabriele Gravina, who had spoken of low-level discourse on the part of Lazio's number one. ‘Someone there holds a position and receives a salary, so they have to answer to the community,’ he added. ‘They're not there because they were put there by “Our Lord”, but because they enjoy the benefits of their position and role.’ Lotito concluded: ‘The point is not to put yourself in a position where you can be questioned.’
