Turin, 10 June (LaPresse) – Italy is preparing to return to the court at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals to defend the world title it won last year in Malaga. Tathiana Garbin's girls will make their debut in Shenzhen on Tuesday 16 September at 5 p.m. against the hosts China. If they win, the Azzurre will face the winner of Spain vs Ukraine in the quarter-finals. The semi-finals will be played on Friday 19 (5 p.m.) and Saturday 20 September (5 p.m.), while the final will take place on Sunday 21 (5 p.m.). Each match will consist of two singles and one doubles. All matches will be played to the best of three sets with a tie-break. The event will also enjoy extensive television coverage by SuperTennis, which will broadcast the matches live (TV channel and SuperTennis Plus).
