Milan, June 11 (LaPresse) – Through an official statement on its website, AC Milan announced "the permanent transfer of the sporting rights of player Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City FC." The Rossoneri club "thanks Tijjani for his dedication and the professionalism he has always shown, and wishes him all the best for his personal and professional future."
At the same time, Manchester City released its own statement saying it is "delighted to announce the signing of Tijjani Reijnders on a five-year contract."
Reijnders was named Serie A Midfielder of the Year for the 2024/25 season after scoring 15 goals in 54 matches, more than doubling his previous single-season record. The English club did not disclose the transfer fee, which is believed to be around €55 million plus another €20 million in various bonuses.
Reijnders will join Pep Guardiola’s squad in time for the Club World Cup in the United States.
