Milan, June 11 (LaPresse) – With a rather convincing performance, Elisabetta Cocciaretto became the first player to reach the quarterfinals of the 'Libema Open' (WTA 250 – prize money €239,212), currently being held on the grass courts of Den Bosch in the Netherlands, which marks the start of the women’s main tour grass season. The 24-year-old from Fermo, ranked No. 123 WTA, after winning a tough opening match in straight sets against Dutch player Hartono (No. 177, granted a wildcard), defeated left-handed American Bernarda Pera (No. 79 WTA) 6-1, 7-6(4) in one hour and 23 minutes in a match that was never really in doubt.
