Turin, June 11 (LaPresse) – Tragedy has struck the motorsport world. During a test session for the Rally of Poland, whose 81st edition is scheduled from June 13 to 15, 21-year-old driver Matteo Doretto died in an accident. The news was reported by Polish media. According to RMF FM radio, the Italian driver crashed his car into a tree near the town of Elganowo, close to Pasym. Rescue workers attempted resuscitation efforts for about ten minutes, but to no avail. Co-driver Samuele Pellegrino was also injured in the crash, but his condition is not considered serious.
