Milan, June 19 (LaPresse) – An excellent performance by Flavio Cobolli secured him a spot in the quarterfinals of the 'Terra Wortmann Open', an ATP 500 tournament with a total prize pool of €2,522,220, currently being played on the grass courts of the OWL Arena in Halle, Germany.

The Roman player, ranked No. 24 in the world, defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov, world No. 31, with a score of 7-6 (2), 4-6, 7-6 (5). In the quarterfinals, Cobolli will face the winner of the match between fellow Italian Lorenzo Sonego and German Alexander Zverev, the tournament’s No. 2 seed. Later in the afternoon, Jannik Sinner will also take the court against Kazakhstan’s Alexander Bublik.
