Turin, June 20 (LaPresse) – Third consecutive final — and fourth in this 2025 season — for Sara Errani and Jasmine Paolini, who have reached the last round of the Berlin Tennis Open (WTA 500 – €925,661 prize money), now nearing its conclusion on the grass courts of the Lawn-Tennis-Turnier-Club 'Rot-Weiss' in Berlin.

The Italian duo, top seeds in the draw and fresh from their first Grand Slam title together in Paris (after also winning in Rome), advanced to the final thanks to the withdrawal of Spain’s Paula Badosa and Tunisia’s Ons Jabeur — the latter having eliminated “Jas” in the singles round of 16.

Badosa had already pulled out of her singles quarterfinal after losing the first set 6–1 to China’s Wang due to a right hip injury.

On Sunday, the 38-year-old from Massa Lombarda and the 29-year-old from Bagni di Lucca will compete for the title against the winners of Saturday’s semifinal between the American–Dutch pair Asia Muhammad and Demi Schuurs (the No. 4 seeds) and the duo formed by Slovakia’s Tereza Mihalikova and Britain’s Olivia Nicholls.
