Rome, June 21 (LaPresse) – Monza football club is about to change ownership. The club will be acquired from Fininvest, whose Berlusconi family intends to step back and has never attended Monza matches, by an American consortium with Mauro Baldissoni acting as guarantor. According to LaPresse sources, Tuesday should be the day for signing the preliminary agreement, aiming for closing around September-October this year.

The former Roma executive is expected to take on a significant managerial role, and the name of Nicolas Burdisso, former Genoa sporting director, is also circulating. As for Adriano Galliani, the senator will remain with the club in an institutional role for the first few months but seems willing to leave by the end of the year.

According to recent information from Fininvest and Serie B League, the club’s finances are not a concern, as it is among the first to register for the next Serie B championship.
